Safety Supervisor Course

Course Description

This course covers general building & construction industry safety requirements relating to the obligations outlined within the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 for organisations that have 20 or more workers on a building site.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements however applicants should be able to use and understand basic English.

Delivery & Assesment

Training and assessment is conducted on site and is structured on a flexible basis to meet the needs of the organisation and students and includes classroom theory and practical training. Assessment is competency based and will include a mixture of classroom based exercises, practical demonstration of skills and a theory test

RPL

Pathways

Successful assessment outcomes from this training will result in a Statement of Attendance.

Materials & Equipment

Students will be provided with all written and physical materials required to complete the assessment. Students must wear long trousers, a long sleave top and steel-capped boots.

CITB Subsidy

This course is eligible for funding under the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) scheme, which supports individuals and organisations looking to enhance their skills. Eligibility is assessed on an individual basis, and each participant must meet the requirements outlined in CITB’s Eligibility Policy, available on their website.

Applicants must provide evidence of their eligibility before enrolling. For group bookings, funding may apply to each eligible participant, potentially reducing the overall cost.
